This belt was part of an exhibit at the 1972 Sydney Royal Easter Show. The class was “Collection of Leatherwork – three different techniques”. This was the first year I had submitted my leatherwork for judging and scored a 3rd prize.

Make it yourself: The best reference book that I have for Applique’ style of braiding is “Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding” by Bruce Grant. On page 461 you will find excellent instructions on this style of braiding.
